Started researching Intermittent Fasting (IF) to see if it’s something I should/can incorporate to my daily routine. This is what I found.
1. Keep Cardio low intensity if been fasting
♥ eg. Wake up and go for a run first thing in the morning (I want to be THAT kind of person so bad!)
♥ Should be able to carry a conversation relatively easily
♥ Stop (cardio) if feeling light-headed or dizzy
2. Go high intensity only after you’ve eaten and have a carb-rich snack afterwards.
♥ eg. Protein bar
3. Feast on high protein meals
♥ Eat 20-30g of protein every 4 hours while awake (in your window)
♥ Schedule high intensity workouts between 2 meals.
4. Remember: Snacks are your friend
♥ Meal/Snack 3-4 hours before workout
♥ Within 2 hours of last rep, eat 20g of protein and 20g of carbs to promote muscle growth and help replete our glycogen stores so you stay energized
